V&A Summer Camp

You know more than you think you do
Friday 30 July 18.30-22.00
Saturday 31 July 13.00-17.00

Celebrate the Victoria and Albert Museum's inaugural Summer Camp, a free two-day celebration of the virtues of self-reliance and resourcefulness that can come through design and making. This year's Summer Camp offers opportunities for you to share your design knowledge and skills; to enable you to make, repair, play, or learn new hobbies, and to gather and swap skills at 'tents' pitched around the camp. Each tent is a creative hub where you can explore different design processes with leading designers, artists and makers.

UP

A thinking and making workshop hosted by Peter Marigold and Glass Hill as part of the V&A Summer Camp.

Join Peter Marigold and Glass Hill in a construction workshop which looks at different ways to elevate objects off the floor using simple structures.  Participants are invited to think through the process to answer some simple quesions whilst getting practical with timber and tools.

The project commissioned by the Victoria and Albert museum, ran alongside 'Jump To It', a toy making workshop organised by the artist Tony Hayward.
